Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

God is truly good and there is every reason to be thankful for His overflowing kindness.

He gives freely of His bounty so our physical needs are met, even on the unrighteous (Acts 14:17; Matt. 5:44, 45). For many receiving this, God has blessed us to live in a nation with security and freedom unknown to untold millions. Thank you God.

The Creator has graciously given us families who love us and through whom we enjoy many blessings (Prov. 18:22; Psa. 127:3). Parents who provided for us, raised us, and looked out for our interests. Brothers and sisters to enjoy growing up; friends who were always there. Children that bring unimaginable joy and help us see purity. Wives and husbands who commit to loving us, even when we are unlovable; who will stick with us through thick and thin.

God gives Christians a spiritual family, the household of faith (Gal. 6:10). These are men and women of like precious faith; people committed to truth and righteousness--the best people in the world. Fellow saints are there for us in our hour of need. They pray for us and give words of comfort. At times just to see them at the assembly brings a feeling of reassurance. May God help us always to see the blessing of our church family.

Above all, God gave His Son (Jn. 3:16). As with other blessings, but especially this one, we do not deserve it (Rom. 5:6-8). Still, His grace prompted Him to act on our behalf. Through Jesus we have a pure conscience; guilt is no longer oppressive in our lives. In Him we enjoy stability in the storms of life, understanding that though all may forsake us, our Savior is there (Heb. 6:18, 19; 13:5, 6). Our hearts are filled with hope; hope of a better place with pure bliss. In Christ we can live with great joy and meaning, though being tested by fire. Let us never forget to be thankful for our Lord.

On this Thanksgiving Day, may God bless, comfort, and keep you.

Sincerely,
The Guardian of Truth Foundation
