Set-DVD and 20 copies of Lesson of #1-The Patriarchal Age and 5 books

I am seeking a conservative Church of Christ congregation to preach and work with part-time or full- time. I deeply regret that I did not do this at an earlier age. I know that there is no other greater responsibility than to preach and save souls and I now have no other desire than to do just that with what ever ability and capacity I can. I am 48 years old. I have been a Christian since the age of 12 and have been a member of the Kentucky Lake Road Church of Christ in Paris, Tennessee most of my life, except for about 5 years when we moved to Wildersville, Tennessee and attended with the congregation at Expressway Church of Christ. I graduated from Henry County High School in Paris, Tennessee. in 1977. I was married in 1983 and my wife was baptized not long after. We were married for 10 years. In 1993 my wife left me and moved in with another man. I got a divorce on the grounds of fornication, which is the only reason for divorce. I have since decided to cling to the Lord only, for He will never forsake or leave me. We have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl and they are all living on their own, regretfully none of them are attending worship services. I have been working at a factory on an assembly line and also as a truck driver over the road. I don’t have much experience at preaching, other than doing invitations from time to time and filling in for our regular preacher Brother Bobby Kirkpatrick when he is away. I have known brother Bobby KirkPatrick for 4 going on 5 years. We have worked together on several occasions, knocking door to door trying to reach those who are lost, and passing out tracts and Christian articles, and announcements of gospel meetings. He has really been an inspiration and source of encouragement to me in my effort to be a full-time evangelist. I attended the preacher training class at Ellettsville in July 2006. I am determined to be a full-time preacher and to work and labor diligently in the Lord’s vineyard. Even preaching part-time would be wonderful, as this will allow me to get more experience. Since I am by myself I would not need a lot of support. Any of the brethren at Kentucky Lake Road will acknowledge that these statements I have made are true. I have known brother Odell and brother Noel Hatman most of my life. The Hatman family and the Houston family were two of the families that started the congregation at Kentucky Lake Road back in 1968. I have been working as a Gospel preacher since 1992, when I graduated from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. All of my full-time work, however, has been carried out in the Czech Republic, where I have been living for the last 16 years.
I am 38 years old. My wife, Ivana, is a native of the Czech Republic. We have three children, Anna (age almost 10), Adela (age 7), and Samuel (age 4). Due to the nature of the work in the Czech Republic, I have acquired extensive experience in doing personal work among people of various backgrounds, including atheists, agnostics, and members of various denominations.
We plan to leave the Czech Republic at the end of July 2008, pending the final sale of our house here in the Czech Republic. I would like to work full time as a gospel preacher. I am 28 years old and married. My wife and I have a 16 month old daughter. I have been doing "fill-in" preaching for the last ten years. Five of those years I was in the navy and often conducted worship services on board the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy when we were at sea. I got out of the Navy in 2003 and went back to college. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at Tyler, TX. For three years after getting out of the Navy I regularly taught a Bible class where my father, Richard Sims, preaches at the North Loop church of Christ in Mineola, TX. I am currently in Spring Branch, Texas(just outside of Katy and Houston, Texas.) I attend Spring Woods Church in Spring Branch. I preach part-time usually when ever our Preacher Mr. Jimmy Lane is out of town. Which usually is 3-4 times a year. I have been preaching off and on since '94 when I was a College Student at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. I worked mostly with the Dover COC Church in Dover, Florida. Which I preached usually once a month from September '96 thru July '97. Both Dover and Spring Woods are smaller Churches, so it enabled me to get the opportunity to preach more often. Those are the main 2 Churches I have done most of my preaching at. I can send you a Copy of one of my sermons that I did last year at Spring Woods that I can send you. The work here is tremendous and would love to be able to continue, but unfortunately I am not able to secure any extra support. Therefore, I am now looking for a sound congregation to work with. I do have some support from Social Security, so I may be able to work for congregation that can’t afford to fully support a preacher. I have been preaching for around 30 years in West Virginia and Florida, and have been preaching full-time for the last 14 of those 30 years. I have a wonderful wife of 32 years, and we have raised two faithful Sons. I am currently looking for a congregation in need of a full time preacher. I am 24 years old and unmarried. I obeyed the gospel and was baptized 12 years ago. My parents were both converted to Christ in their teens, and have striven to raise me and my siblings to keep the faith. I currently attend at the Bacliff church of Christ in Bacliff, Texas (www.bacliffchurchofchrist.org). My marital status may be of benefit to smaller congregations, as I would require less financial support than a man raising a family.
I have not yet been a full time preacher, but have done "fill in preaching" as often as possible. Currently, the men of the congregation take turns preaching on two Sunday nights of each month, as well as shorter invitations on Wednesdays. I take advantage of these of these opportunities as often as possible. Before attending at the Bacliff congregation, I was regularly assisted and filled in for brother Steinmetz in his preaching duties at the Texas City congregation, until his passing. So, over the last five years, I have done a fair amount of preaching, if not on a regular basis. I am able to teach class, and have done so often over the last several years. Typically I have taught the High School and Jr. High aged children, but could certainly teach adult classes. I have also engaged in a good many personal Bible studies with individuals both in and out of the faith.
I am able to move anywhere, but will be unable to do so until March 1, 2008. However, I would like, if possible, to have a congregation "lined up" before then. I can provide written sermon and class notes, as well as recorded sermons (provided I can find them in our cramped and somewhat disorganized storage area) upon request.
My name is Nathan Gochee. I have been a Christian for over twelve years. Let me go back farther. I was not raised in a Christian home. I am one of four boys. My parents divorced when I was four years old. My father was a very abusive alcoholic. I got married at the beginning of my senior year of high school to a young lady that changed my life forever.
Jennifer and I were married November 5th, 1994. After being married for about a year, and seeing the example that my wife was, I obeyed the Gospel. We now have three wonderful children, Breonna – 12, Cason – 7, Kaeghan – 4.
I started preaching on a regular basis over five years ago. In September of 2005 I accepted the minister position with a small congregation in Salisbury, NC (Salisbury Church of Christ). There were only 15 people attending when we arrived. I preached morning and evening services on Sunday, held a study with an elderly lady on Sunday after noon, studied with a group at Carolyn assisted Living Center every Tuesday evening, had an in-home bible study with four teenagers in our home every Thursday.
We were seeing the Lord work there in Salisbury as the number grew to about thirty by April of 2006. I was not able to get full support, so I carried a full-time secular job working six days a week. Cost of living was a lot higher in North Carolina than in Tennessee. I was not able to gain more support and finding stable secular work that would make up for lack of support was hard. Towards the end of May, we started to realize that we were not making it financially as we were unable to make full payments on my truck and lost it to repossession. We then decided that it was best to return to Tennessee where we still had our home that my older brother was staying in.
Sense returning to Tennessee, the Lord has blessed me with a good job and we are recovering from our losses. I have been traveling throughout Tennessee and Alabama helping small congregations that are without. We have been very busy as travel has been a minimum of 1 hour one way to wherever I may preach at, some being three hours away.
I still desire to be able to work with a congregation on a more extensive basis when the Lord sees that it is time again. I happily accept any opportunity to hold weekend meetings and or studies when called upon.
I believe that the Word of God can reach any one; we just have to deliver it. We must go, not sit, out and be lights not just to those who are Christians. I feel that people are reached best through in-home studies. I feel that Christians also need encouraging and teaching as much as possible. This must take place inside and outside of the meeting place.
