A Judge of Israel

During the period of the judges, Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and He delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. God then raised up a deliverer from the tribe of Dan. He was a Nazarite, whose name was Samson. This man did not completely deliver Israel from Philistine bondage. He only occasionally checked their domination of Israel. Perhaps one of the reasons was that he spent too much time among the enemies of God's people. He was strong physically, but weak morally.

One reason some Christians are weak morally is because they spend too much time among the enemies of truth. And some congregations are weak for the same reason. It's one thing to live in the world but quite another to become a partaker of the things of the world. To align oneself with that which promotes error, is to become a partaker of evil Many times this is the result of too much association with the world. Remember thai Paul said: "Evil companionships corrupt good morals."
